S62: THREE-DOM !!!!

Written by TEAM BOBYN at 08:10 30/10-2022

  So ends another season !

S62 turned out to be a memorable one for TB - not necessarily for wins and places - although this was not too bad for TB. S62 will be remembered by TB as the first time the team competed in D3 - to which every TB rider managed to some D3 experience. In addition TB spent a considerable amount of time in D4 - and Manager Barry was particularly pleased that TB were competitive in D4 and not merely making up the numbers.

Dmitriyev picked up his first win and Polishchuk his second some eye-raising performances in D4 however fans favourite this season went to Saveliy Rusanov who came of age picking up 3 podiums and 6 places and the highest ever ranked performance for a TB rider (548th).

For the first time TB drops to 3rd placed Ukraine Side - which is a surprise - but it's great there is now some good local competition. Also for the first time team value has dropped although this is becuase the squad size has been produced which has provided the management with more liquidity in order to develop the riders.

   In summary:

   Pts: 562 (+ 137pts)
   Division: 5 (E) (+1 Divisions)
   Rank: Ukraine 3rd ( -2 place)
   worldwide 261th ( +84 places)
   Team Value 2.146m (- 81k)

   Personnel & Tactical Changes

Bugayev had retired - finally - and Davydov will become the squad captain although in effect he'll probably be bat-man for Rusanov - particularly in heavy cobble races. Vice Captaincy roles will be shared between Voronkov (who we are expecting some good things for the first half of S63), Arshavin (who'll take the mantle of chief Downhiller) and Yenotov, who had a particularly poor S62 due to a sucession of injuries. Kapriyanov will continue will the TT set.

  International:
Ukraine will be pleased they finished above their rivals, but concerned they missed out on a podium. The National Team desperately needs to bring forward the next generation of riders.

A number of TB riders were heavily featured, including Volkov (3 caps - 5th PB) Polishchuk(2caps), Voronkov (2 caps) Dmitriyev (2 Caps) Chupov (1 cap), Destyatov (1 cap), Zhivenkov (1 cap), Kapriyanov (1 cap), Dolzhikov (1 cap),Rusanov (1 cap 16th- PB) Davydov (1 cap) and Bugeyev - 1 cap.

Both TB's Uzbek contingent performances in the WT parralleled the wider Uzbek NT performance as they carshed out of the podiums. Yenotov's injuries impacted his performances with his 2 caps although Arshavin picked up a PB with his 24th in one of his two rides for the NT.

U23 - NOt much to see here !

   Ukraine Honours
   S62 2nd Lviv - Stryi Rusanov

   Tours & Cups

Just two tours for TB this season, the Minutemen where Kapriyanov was able to improve upon the TEam's best individual stage performance and the Gira - where basically we made up the numbers,

MINUTEMEN (D4) - Best stage Performance
   GC: N/A
   Av.Pos. Liam Roberts (S54 51st)
   Best Stage Performance:
Demian Kapriyanov (S62) 8th Revere’s Midnight Ride (ITT)

Objectives for S63 (hmm on paper looks like we've failed on a lot of objectives but actually feel like we are progressing).

   (i) Be top ranked Ukraine Side (S62-Fail! )
(ii) Bring in some new Ukraine teams (S62 - partially met - still 3 teams)
   (ii) Finish in D4 - get some exposure to D4 (S62 - partially met - some expsoure to D3 & D4 )
   (iii) Target 3 x wins.(S62- 2 wins - partially met)
(iv) Participate in at least one tour, improve on one of best performances.(S62 -met)
   (v) Increase Team value to $2.5mk (S62 - $2.1mk - fail)
(vi) Participate and progress stats in any UKraine race that becomes available (ultimate aim to win all Ukraine's 12 races). (S62 - met)
(vii) Finish top 7 of the FSU sides. (ranked 13th in S62 - fail)

   Good Luck Everyone for S63!!!
